Web8 jul. 2024 · Next time the Public Folders and Focused mode disappears, close Outlook. In Control Panel > Mail, delete the default Outlook profile, copy the Outlook-Template profile and name it Outlook. If you use shortcuts, copy the Outlook-Template.xml you backed up in item 4 above into Outlook.xml. Start Outlook and voila, it is back to normal. The new mail icon blinks briefly and the meeting dissapears, it does appear as tentative in the calendar, however does not give an option to accept/decline. WebSet the newly added IMAP instance as the default (this also changes the default data store). Allow Outlook time to move data to the new instance, then remove the old account instance. This is a workaround but it works. It's better than creating a new profile if you need contacts, calendar and tasks.
