I used a 1. 5" box steel, about 6" long for each side. A double CARDAN is needed only on say, YJ's with a short 20" shaft and a lift. WebOct 31, 2024 · Re: Hack and tap sye. I've done the IRO HnT on a 4.5" lift. It was originally, with a 8-1/4 axle. I just had enough length between the axle and the minimum spline of the TC output shaft. Also, the RC rear leaf springs were more like 5.5 to 6" of lift initially. Presently I have a Ford 8.8.

If $$$ is no issue, I'd go for a standard SYE but that's not to say I would do so out of any fear the hack 'n tap would break.
